Miss Scarlet

After her father’s death leaves her without financial support, Eliza Scarlet takes charge of his detective agency instead of accepting the limited choices available to women in 1880s London. To investigate cases and work in a profession dominated by men, she joins forces with William Wellington, a Scotland Yard detective known as the Duke. Their partnership brings Eliza into contact with the city’s criminal cases while forcing two very different investigators to rely on each other.
