Gunpowder

In 1605, Robert Catesby, a 33-year-old gentleman from Warwickshire, turns against the rule of King James I and begins organizing a group of English Catholics. With Thomas Wintour and Guy Fawkes among those involved, the conspirators plan to destroy the House of Lords with gunpowder and kill the king. As their preparations take shape, Father Henry Garnet is drawn into the dangerous conflict surrounding the plot, while Sir Robert Cecil works to protect the government from the threat.
