Welcome to Marwen
After a brutal attack leaves Mark Hogancamp with no memory of his past, the artist turns to an unusual form of rehabilitation. In his backyard, he builds Marwen, a miniature town set during World War II, and populates it with dolls modeled on women from his life. As Mark stages battles involving the town’s toy soldiers, his imagined world becomes a way to confront the damage he is trying to overcome in reality.
