There Will Be Blood
After working as a silver miner, Daniel Plainview becomes an oil prospector and heads to California when he learns that the area is rich in petroleum. He buys land from local owners at low prices, presenting himself as a reliable family man with his son H.W. at his side. His business brings him into conflict with Eli Sunday, a local pastor who questions Plainview’s methods and challenges his growing influence. Their rivalry turns the search for oil into a struggle for control.
