The Time Traveler's Wife
Henry DeTamble is a librarian whose rare genetic disorder causes him to vanish from the present and appear at unpredictable points in time. Clare Abshire, an artist, has known him since she was a child, but their relationship unfolds out of order: his appearances do not match the stages of her life. After they marry, Henry’s uncontrollable travel continues to disrupt their time together, forcing Clare to build a life around a husband who can disappear without warning and return years younger or older.
