The Skeleton Key
Caroline Ellis, a hospice nurse, takes a job caring for the disabled Ben Devereaux at his isolated plantation house near New Orleans. His wife, Violet, gives Caroline a key that opens every door, but the house contains rooms she was never meant to enter and signs of a disturbing past. As Caroline investigates what happened there, she becomes caught in a mystery involving the mansion and its uneasy inhabitants.
