The Last King
In 1204, Norway is torn apart by a civil war between the birkebeiners, who support the crown, and the baglers, backed by the aristocracy and the Church. After King Håkon’s death, his illegitimate infant son is recognized as the heir, making the child a target for those who want to seize power. Warriors Skjervald and Torstein take responsibility for protecting the baby and must carry him through the winter wilderness while the conflict closes in around them.
