The Last Days on Mars

On the final day of humanity’s first crewed mission to Mars, Vincent Campbell finds what may be evidence of bacterial life in the planet’s soil. Wanting to investigate before the expedition ends, he leaves Tantalus Base without authorization, but the ground gives way during the search and he disappears into a deep crevice. As the remaining crew try to recover him, another team member vanishes, forcing them to consider whether the discovery has released something dangerous.
