The Guardian

After the loss of his rescue team, legendary Coast Guard swimmer Ben Randall takes a teaching post at the service’s training school. There he meets Jake Fischer, a high school swimming champion whose troubled past and confidence set him apart from the other recruits. Ben pushes Jake through demanding exercises designed to show that ocean rescue leaves no room for careless decisions, while Jake struggles to understand what the job requires from those who must decide how to save people in disasters.
