After a serious crash ended his Formula 1 career in the 1990s, former prodigy Sonny Hayes is asked by his old teammate Ruben Cervantes to return to racing. Ruben now runs a struggling team and wants Sonny to help turn it around while mentoring Joshua Pearce, its talented rookie driver. As the season unfolds, Sonny must compete alongside a young driver whose ambition makes their partnership as difficult as the races themselves.
