The Evil Dead
Ash and four college friends rent a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend away. Their stay changes when they find the Book of the Dead and play an audio tape of a professor reciting its text, accidentally releasing an evil force. After Cheryl becomes possessed, the group locks her in the basement, but the threat soon begins to affect the other students as well. Ash must face what the recording has unleashed while his friends turn against one another.
