The Babadook
Six years after losing her husband on the day her son was born, Amelia Vanek is raising Samuel alone. Now nearly seven, Samuel is convinced that a monster is hiding around the house, and his fears grow worse when an eerie children’s book appears for him to read at bedtime. Its story brings the Babadook into their home, leaving mother and son unable to tell whether the threat belongs to Samuel’s imagination or to the real world.
