Rear Window (1954)
After an accident leaves photographer L.B. Jefferies confined to a wheelchair in his Manhattan apartment, he passes the time watching the neighbors whose homes face the shared courtyard. What begins as casual observation changes when the behavior of one resident makes Jefferies suspect that a murder has taken place. Unable to leave his room, he studies the courtyard from his window and tries to determine whether the evidence he sees is enough to support his accusation.
