Veteran homicide detective Somerset and his younger partner, Mills, investigate a series of murders staged around the seven deadly sins. Each crime presents a new victim and a disturbing message, suggesting that the killer is following a deliberate design rather than acting at random. Somerset studies the sins and searches for clues to the murderer’s thinking, while Mills takes a more direct approach to the case. Together, they must identify the pattern before another killing occurs.
