Pollyanna

After her father’s death, young Pollyanna Whittier goes to live with her wealthy aunt Polly Harrington, a strict woman who has little patience for the girl’s cheerful outlook. Pollyanna responds by sharing the “Glad Game,” a lesson from her father that encourages people to find something to be happy about even in difficult situations. Her optimism begins to affect troubled people around her, including Mr. Pendleton and Dr. Chilton, but Aunt Polly remains resistant to the girl’s way of seeing life.
