Sheriff Julie Forester is preparing for Lake Victoria’s annual Spring Break, when thousands of visitors arrive in the Arizona resort town. An earthquake opens a passage beneath the lake and releases a swarm of prehistoric piranhas that have been dormant for thousands of years. As the creatures begin attacking people in the water, Julie and her police colleagues must try to protect the crowd before the celebration turns into a mass feeding ground.
