Deep Blue Sea

At the remote underwater laboratory Aquatica, scientist Dr. Susan McAlester leads experiments designed to enlarge sharks’ brains in the hope of finding a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. The research succeeds too well: the genetically modified sharks become more intelligent and increasingly dangerous. When a powerful storm damages the facility, Susan and the other people trapped inside must find a way to survive as their test subjects turn against them.
