Machete, a former Federale, is hired to assassinate a Texas senator. The assignment is a trap: after being betrayed and framed for the attack, he turns against the people who arranged it. Machete sets out to uncover the truth and take revenge on his former employer, while the conflict draws in figures connected to border patrol and immigration law.
