Marie Bens, the daughter of a company head, disappears during a trip to South America, so private detective Campana is hired to find her. He is joined by François Perrin, an employee whose extraordinary clumsiness is believed to resemble Marie’s own pattern of mishaps. Following Perrin becomes part of the investigation, as Campana hopes his mistakes will lead them to the missing woman while their search turns into a series of chaotic adventures.
