In the Mouth of Madness

Insurance investigator John Trent is sent to a remote New England town to find Sutter Cane, a bestselling horror novelist who has vanished while preparing his next book. Accompanied by Cane’s publishing representative, Linda Styles, Trent follows clues through the isolated community, where residents behave strangely and the boundary between fiction and reality begins to weaken. As his search continues, the author’s stories appear to be affecting the people around him in ways Trent cannot explain.
