Fences
In 1950s Pittsburgh, Troy Maxson works as a garbage collector while trying to provide for his wife, Rose, and their sons. A former baseball player and war veteran, Troy carries the frustration of opportunities denied to him by racism and poverty. When his son Cory wants to pursue a future in sports, Troy’s strict ideas about responsibility bring growing tension into the family and force old disappointments into their daily lives.
