Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil

In Álava in 1843, a police constable arrives in a remote Basque village to investigate Patxi, a blacksmith who lives alone in the woods. The villagers fear the harsh and secretive craftsman, but the investigation reveals that he is holding a demon captive and blaming it for his suffering. As Usue, an orphan girl from the village, becomes involved, the constable is drawn into a conflict shaped by violence, old pain and the boundary between the human world and hell.
