Double Indemnity (1944)

Insurance representative Walter Neff meets Phyllis Dietrichson, the dissatisfied wife of one of his clients, and becomes involved in her plan to kill her husband. Together they arrange an insurance fraud intended to secure a large payout, but the scheme draws the attention of Walter’s colleague Barton Keyes, a claims investigator who begins examining the case. Walter must now contend with the investigation as suspicion closes in on the crime.
