Coming to America
Prince Akeem of Zamunda refuses to accept a bride chosen for him and travels to Queens, New York, with his loyal friend Semmi to find a wife on his own terms. Hiding his royal status and posing as a poor immigrant, he takes a job at a fast-food restaurant owned by Cleo McDowell. There he meets Cleo’s daughter Lisa, who knows nothing about the identity of the quiet young man courting her.
