Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Roy Neary, an electrical linesman in Indiana, has a close encounter with UFOs during a night of unexplained power failures. Afterward, he becomes consumed by recurring visions of a distinctive shape and struggles to explain his growing fixation to his family. While scientists investigate other signs of intelligent extraterrestrial life, including the return of aircraft that vanished in 1945, Roy follows the clues toward an isolated site in Wyoming where a secret operation is underway.
