Case 39
Social worker Emily Jenkins takes responsibility for the case of ten-year-old Lillith Sullivan after finding evidence that the girl’s parents intend to harm her. When the authorities remove Lillith from the family, Emily becomes her temporary guardian while trying to arrange foster care. Soon, disturbing incidents begin around the child, and Emily’s efforts to protect her draw her into a frightening mystery that challenges everything she believes about Lillith’s situation.
