Blood Diamond
In 1999, Sierra Leone is being torn apart by civil war when Danny Archer, a former mercenary working as a diamond smuggler, learns that fisherman Solomon Vandy has found an exceptionally valuable pink diamond. Solomon wants to recover the stone and find his son Dia, who has been forced to fight as a child soldier for the rebels. With journalist Maddy Bowen following the diamond trade, Danny and Solomon set out across the country, each pursuing a different goal amid the violence surrounding them.
