Basquiat

In 1981, nineteen-year-old Jean Michel Basquiat is an unknown graffiti writer in New York whose work soon attracts the attention of the art world. As his reputation grows, he must deal with sudden fame while trying to define his identity as an artist. The pressure is complicated by drug abuse, which begins to threaten his career and his life as he moves through the city’s galleries and artistic circles.
