Arrival
When alien spacecraft appear in different parts of the world, the military turns to Louise Banks, a linguist, for help. She is tasked with learning how to communicate with the beings inside the ships and determining why they have come. As Louise works to understand their unfamiliar language, military leaders must decide whether the visitors are seeking peaceful contact or pose a threat, while every mistake in communication could affect the response to their arrival.
