After Earth
A thousand years after humanity abandoned Earth, General Cypher Raige and his teenage son Kitai live on Nova Prime, where their relationship remains strained. During a mission, an asteroid storm damages their spacecraft and forces them to crash on the planet their ancestors left behind. Cypher is badly injured and unable to continue, so Kitai must cross the unfamiliar, dangerous terrain to find the rescue beacon and get them home. The journey gives him the chance to prove himself as a soldier, but he must face Earth without his father at his side.
