Amy Mitchell, Kiki and Carla are already struggling with the demands placed on mothers when the Christmas season adds another round of expectations. Wanting a holiday that does not depend on them doing everything perfectly, the three friends decide to celebrate on their own terms. Their plans become much harder to manage when their own mothers arrive and expect to be hosted and entertained throughout the holidays.
