In rural Wisconsin, people who have already died begin returning to their former lives, looking and behaving as they did before their deaths. Local police officer and single mother Dana Cypress must investigate a brutal murder that draws her into the growing confusion surrounding the revived. With the town struggling to understand what has happened, the case leaves Dana searching for answers among suspects who may be alive or dead.
