POSE

2018 18+
Drama

Set in 1980s New York, POSE follows Blanca, Elektra Abundance, Pray Tell and Angel within the city’s ballroom community, where houses compete in voguing balls and create families of their own. Their world exists alongside the growing luxury culture of the Trump era and the downtown social scene, while the HIV/AIDS epidemic becomes an increasingly important part of life for the transgender and LGBTQ+ community. The series moves between these connected worlds as its characters seek belonging and recognition in a city marked by sharp social divisions.
