Intelligence officer John Tavner is assigned to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, but the mission requires him to abandon his official identity. He takes a dangerous non-official cover as an employee of a Midwestern industrial piping company, whose work brings him into contact with Luxembourg and Iran. John must carry out his intelligence duties while operating inside a civilian business, where the cover itself becomes a serious obstacle to the operation.
