YES DAY

Allison and Carlos Torres are used to turning down their children’s requests, but they agree to try a different approach: for 24 hours, Katie, Nando and Ellie can ask for almost anything, and their parents must say “yes.” A few ground rules are set, yet the children soon fill the day with one unusual activity after another, from an amusement-park visit to a water-balloon battle. Allison and Carlos now have to stick to their own experiment while keeping the family’s increasingly chaotic day under control.
