Professor Charles Xavier and the mutants at his school face growing hostility after a superpowered attacker targets the president. The incident gives William Stryker, a former military officer leading the anti-mutant movement, an excuse to push for stronger action against mutants. As Stryker sets a plan against them in motion, Wolverine, Storm and Jean Grey must work with Magneto and Mystique, despite their opposing sides, to stop him.
