The Protégé
After being rescued as a child by the contract killer Moody, Anna is trained to follow him into the assassination business and becomes one of its most capable practitioners. When Moody is brutally murdered, she sets out to identify those responsible and make them pay. Her search leads to Michael Rembrandt, an enigmatic assassin whose connection to her is complicated by both professional rivalry and mutual attraction, while the people tied to Moody’s death prove difficult to reach.
