The Lincoln Lawyer
Mickey Haller is a Los Angeles defense attorney who runs his practice from the back seat of a Lincoln Continental, usually representing petty criminals. His routine changes when wealthy playboy Louis Roulet hires him to defend him against an attempted-murder charge. The case appears straightforward and financially rewarding, but as Haller examines the evidence, details suggest that Roulet is hiding more than he admits. Haller must determine what really happened while continuing to represent a client whose story grows increasingly dangerous.
