Scientists Clive and Elsa secretly combine human and animal DNA in an experiment that produces Dren, a female organism unlike anything they have created before. As Dren grows at an unusually rapid rate, the researchers struggle to control her development and keep the experiment hidden. Their attachment to their creation complicates the work, especially when Dren’s changing nature makes her increasingly dangerous to both scientists.
