Shallow Hal

Hal Larson chooses women according to strict standards of physical beauty, following the advice of his dying father and rejecting anyone who does not meet them. After a chance encounter with self-help guru Tony Robbins, hypnosis changes the way Hal sees people, leaving him focused on their inner qualities instead of their appearance. He then falls for Rosemary Shanahan, unaware that the woman he sees as beautiful actually weighs 300 pounds.
