Screamers
In 2078, Colonel Hendricksson commands Commonwealth forces on Sirius 6B, a mining planet devastated by ten years of war with the New Economic Bloc. The conflict has produced Screamers—self-replicating machines built to move beneath the ground and destroy enemy life. When these weapons begin to change and take on human forms, Hendricksson must confront a threat that can no longer be identified by appearance alone.
