Science Fiction Volume One: The Osiris Child

In the era of interplanetary colonization, Lieutenant Kane Sommerville serves on a distant planet where his daughter has grown up without ever seeing Earth. After experiments there lead to an infestation of creatures, General Lynex orders the colony destroyed, using a fabricated prison revolt as justification. Kane has only 24 hours to reach his daughter and get her off the planet, with the drifter Sy Lombrok becoming an unexpected ally as they try to survive the operation.
