Roald Dahl's The Witches
In late 1967, an orphaned boy moves to Demopolis, Alabama, to live with his grandmother, who soon notices that the elegant women around them are witches. She takes him to a seaside hotel for safety, but the timing is unfortunate: the Grand High Witch has chosen the same place to gather her followers and put a plan to transform children into mice into action. The boy and his grandmother must find a way to stop them before the scheme spreads.
