John Q
John Quincy Archibald is a working father whose young son, Mike, suddenly needs a heart transplant after being diagnosed with an enlarged heart. The family then learns that their health insurance will not pay for the operation, leaving the boy without access to the treatment he needs. With no way to place his son on the donor list, John takes a Chicago hospital hostage and forces its staff to confront the decision that could determine his child’s survival.
