Bea discovers that she can see the imaginary friends people created in childhood, even after those companions have been forgotten. Her neighbor Cal shares the same unusual ability, and together they begin helping the abandoned friends find the children who once imagined them. Their work leads Bea into a world where invisible companions still wait for a place in their former friends’ lives.
