Equilibrium
In the aftermath of the Third World War, society lives under a regime that has outlawed emotion to prevent another conflict. Citizens must take a drug that suppresses their feelings, while books, music and art are forbidden, and showing emotion can bring a death sentence. John Preston, one of the officials responsible for enforcing these rules, begins to turn against the system he serves and sets out to overthrow it.
