Teenager Marty McFly is thrown from 1985 into 1955 after an experiment by his eccentric inventor friend, Emmett Brown, goes wrong. Marty soon encounters his future parents as teenagers, but his presence interferes with the meeting that is supposed to bring them together, and his mother begins to take an interest in him instead. With history at risk and no simple way home, Marty must help restore his parents’ relationship while working with Doc Brown to find a route back to his own time.
