Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio

In Mussolini’s Italy, Geppetto’s wooden puppet is brought to life by magic and begins life as a boy named Pinocchio. He must learn how to live in a country shaped by the rise of fascism while trying to meet the expectations of the father who made him. His unusual nature draws him into conflicts with people who see him as something to control or exploit, leaving Pinocchio to find his own way through a world that does not know what to make of him.
